Anticipate taking the exam over several days/weeks — the website will remember your answers so you do NOT have to complete the exam in one sitting. Note that the Academy has rescinded the requirement that the exam be completed within 10 days of the start date. Now you can take as long as needed to pass the exam. Take days, weeks, months if needed; the exam now fits into your busy professional schedule.
You have the ability to retake the exam if you fail (up to 100 times). Passing grade is 80%. The questions are true/false and multiple choice. No essay. You are allowed to consult your notes, all courses on this website, the Bankruptcy Code, the Bankruptcy Rules, Attorney Schaller’s almost 354-page book titled: A Lawyer’s Guide to Filing Chapter 7 Bankruptcy: Learning the Nuts and Bolts of Filing Your First Case, and Attorney Schaller’s 6-volume treatise titled: Bankruptcy Masterclass Practice System & Toolkit.
National Bankruptcy Academy will provide a written certificate evidencing your accomplishment of earning the prestigious Bankruptcy Scholar certificate. The certificate is suitable for framing.
